Green Hill Academy was first established in 1997 and has been one of the oldest international schools in Rwanda. It provides learning to kids from Nursery school to Middle school.

4) The Earth School Africa - The International Montessori School of Rwanda

Earth School Africa (ESA) is a non-profit organization based in Kigali, Rwanda that provides free education for children between the ages of 2 and 18 who have been affected by HIV/AIDS or orphaned due to AIDS.

Its mission is to provide these children with a holistic educational experience, using the internationally recognized Montessori method. In its first nine years, ESA's programs have reached over 200 children, including many orphans who would otherwise not have access to education.

5). Saint Paul International School (SPIS)

Saint Paul International School (SPIS) is a private school located in Kigali, Rwanda. SPIS was founded in 1996 by the Sisters of St. Paul de Chartres. The school offers education from pre-school to grade 12.

The number of students attending SPIS varies depending on the year. In 2016/2017 the school had about 1,500 students enrolled.

SPIS teaches at two locations. The first location is on campus where classes are held. There are three buildings on campus. The second location is off campus. Students who live outside of the city have their classes held at the off-campus location.

10). École Belge de Kigali

Different from most internastional schools in Rwanda, École Belge de Kigali offers curriculum defined by the Federation Wallonie-Bruxelles of Belgium. École Belge de Kigali offers kindergarten, elementary school and secondary school.

The language of instruction is mainly French.

All elements of the curriculum are taught in French, according to a decision by the Rwandan Education Board (REB). Both English and Kinyarwanda are taught beginning in the third kindergarten year.
